Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using LocalRAG (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Description of Service
LocalRAG is a document chat application that uses AI to answer questions about your imported documents. Document processing occurs on your device, while AI responses are generated using the Anthropic Claude API.
Subscription Terms
- LocalRAG offers three plans: Free (5 questions/day, Haiku model), Standard (30 questions/day, Sonnet + Haiku), and Pro (unlimited questions, all models).
- The Free plan requires no payment and no subscription.
- Standard and Pro plans offer a 1-week free trial for new subscribers.
- Monthly and yearly subscription options are available for Standard and Pro plans.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device’s Account Settings.
API Key Usage
The App allows you to use your own Anthropic API key for AI requests. When using your own API key:
- You are solely responsible for any charges incurred on your Anthropic account.
- You must comply with Anthropic’s Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
- LocalRAG is not responsible for API key misuse, leaks, or associated costs.
User Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the documents you import and the questions you ask.
- Do not use the App for unlawful purposes or to process illegal content.
- You must have the right to use any documents you import into the App.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. AI-generated answers may contain inaccuracies. You should verify important information independently. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI responses.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LocalRAG and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, business interruption, or reliance on AI-generated content.
Rate Limits
When using the built-in subscription service (without your own API key), usage is subject to rate limits to ensure fair access for all users. These limits may be adjusted at our discretion.
Intellectual Property
LocalRAG, its name, icon, and design are the intellectual property of LOOSEDAYS Co.,Ltd.. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without permission.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan.
