LocalRAG! 3.6.0 makes its answer path explicit from the first run. Users can prepare Local AI for on-device answers, including offline use, or choose Claude for cloud-generated answers. Document extraction, indexing, and retrieval remain on the device in both modes; Claude receives the question and retrieved excerpts, not the original file. The release also shows the active AI type and model in chat, renders answers in Markdown, and ranks local retrieval context by relevance.
LocalRAG! lets people ask natural-language questions about PDFs, Office files, EPUBs, images, audio, and video — then return to the page or timestamp behind an answer.
